Tuesday was scheduled.

Yesterday was a datacenter issue, not a DDoS.

Although I wouldn't put it past certain people to attempt to DDoS a server that's already down for maint.

During this window, engineers will reroute and fail over traffic to minimize Customer impact, however customers may experience periods of packet loss, latency or very brief service interruptions as engineers perform these upgrades. There will NOT be an extended outage during this maintenance window. We will perform this work between 01:00 AM and 05:00 AM Eastern.

They are running Project 1999 as a virtual server. The virtual servers are only using 4 disks. As a result the hardware is limited and causing service slow downs. The hardware upgrade is to add more disks to the array to increase load balance and distribution.

Just drop the 20 grand and buy a MD3220i and with 24 300GB 15K RPM disks can be done with it.
