VP items won't make much difference. If stuff dies the first week, it's because of better knowledge of the encounters and more min-maxing on what classes people play - e.g. more monks, rogue, and wizards dps and less paladins/necros/shadowknights/rangers.
The only items that make a difference are Socks, Mountain Dew and Potato Chips at this point

What you mean is there are 15 people in Blackburrow. 69 toons are in the zone, however.

P99 has a community that resembles cancer- therefore most of the good people have moved to ragefire QQmoar. When something is free without a sub you get more rejects of life=P99
Deuces.

The cool to hang out with people here hugely outnumber the jerks, and cranky souls like me are usually embarrassed enough at our crappy attitudes to keep quiet and enjoy the game when we're logged in. P99's got some douchenozzles and sandyvags for sure, and plenty of saltiness here on the forums, but the cancer is mostly pretty well contained between VP and the red server.

jeez *everyone* knows the endgame on p99 is kind of ... strange ... but that *is* classic. EQ attracts some strange folks and always has and the end game has always caused hair to grow on the necks even of lady players. If it is not something you want to deal with, there are other ways to play in the sandbox -- truth.

And then there is the bonus. The server is up, gm'd, not broken by rampant haxes and boxes, and the mechanics beat anything Daybreak can or is willing to put out.

We got it damn good. Enjoy the weekend of doing pretty much whatever you want to do on p99 with a drama level that all of a sudden, thanks to the Ragefire fiasco launch, seems very very minor. Seriously. Have a good weekend!
