A guild leader wouldn't fold to outside pressure to do something he thought was detrimental to his guild. He would think of a way to convince his guild to stick with his vision and do it on their own, but it looks like he was unable to do that. It is something that many guild leaders have failed at throughout server history.

The only guild to start from the bottom and move to the top in server history is Holocaust/Empire. It isn't something many can do and you can't blame Max for trying and failing.

The biggest obstacle for any upcoming guild on this server has not been the number 1 guild, it has been the number 2 guild, Azrael. Every time a guild builds up and has a chance to start contesting Azrael gets jealous and tries to take over operations because they want to be the guild that is "contesting" but they have never had a guild structure that can support a real raiding guild long term. It is just something that happens in spurts and quickly falls apart.

I was in Red Dawn, joined Nihilum in spite of Azrael. Joined Holocaust in spite of Azrael.
