Advice for faction grinding on Shaman epic

If you bind in freeport and have a druid friend you can just have them port you to BB over and over.

This method is the best. Druid ports, gates and meds. Both porter and shaman bind in fp.

Takes maybe 3-6 hours?

It's how they do it on blue. But with the Freeport gem guy. Bind next 2 him Then rez u to the turn in guy 30-45x times /duel kill you

Takes about 2 hrs 2 max faction it.

holy shit im sorry I didnt tell you that.

I turned in 2 sets of books before black dire, one that I thought I was invisible for the turnin and thats why I didnt get the faction...

The second, to test if I did infact need more faction, and that I wasnt invis.

I still collected pages while in Com (and corpsed them! Shh.. i know blue you get in all kinds of trouble corpsing items, I dont think its a insue here though)

then when you are ready you can loot pieces off your corpse library and it saves you a lot of time.

I tottally forgot about the black dire requirement.. well it should be said that, to do each step in the shaman Epic quest, you MUST do the steps leading up to it, to have faction and sucessful turnins.. you can force it, and skip steps by grinding something you already get faction from.

Man, cant believe I forgot that.

PS for black dire, I was able to duo it in my 50's with only my superior healing spell and shit mana pool, with a 60 monk.. Thanks Gnarly! But that should give you a idea of how difficult that fight is. Its not.

You don't need to do the black dire before you can do CoM quest. You just need to reach a certain faction before the spirit in EJ will talk to you. Not sure if it is kindly or what.

The black dire does give you a lot of faction and if you do all the parts leading up to CoM quests you will have the faction needed.

If you want a shortcut you should get a druid or cleric and do one of the methods described with the first BB/Freeport gem turn in quest. Do that until you have the faction to do the CoM quest. I did it in 1.5 hours I think. I just paid a random druid 1k/hour to help me and it was worth it to him.

Hmm. Maybe I should just farm plat to hire a Druid then.

I had thought that you needed to complete the Black Dire component in order to obtain the item that lets you combine the six quest drops from CoM so that they can be turned in.

This is close but not quite true. You can get the spirit to give you the combine book by just doing everything but the Black Dire. However, if you give him the combined book back without first having kindly faction (either from completing Black Dire, or faction grinding a little bit) he will eat it and say you have failed.

Ah, the plot thickens! So he gives the combine book based on faction, not on the Black Dire pelt. So it looks like I need to get my faction up by hook or by crook, so that I can continue happily grinding in the CoM stables.

Maybe I can sell enough SoW pots to hire some mercenaries for black dire, or the druid for the porting trick.
