Love the books as i said 8) always found it humorous that the characters and basic story line came out of his role playing sessions. I would guess a lot of our favorite fantasy sci fi books came out of people role playing and or board games.

Traveller RPG and DnD RPG probably had a big influenced on a lot authors from the 1970 till today.

The first book was the only decent one in that series.

have you read them all? have you read the one that just came out in october (Hawk)

also, read "The Phoenix Guards"/"500 Years After"/"The Paths of the Dead"/"The Lord of Castle Black"/"Sethra Lavode"
(this is the events leading up to Adron's Disaster, the disaster itself, the interregnum, and Zerika emerging from the paths of the dead with the orb. Mario Greymyst, a young stupid Morrolan, a young bratty Aliera, and omg Pel)

I have read all of them except the most recent one. I absolutely love Stephen Brust.

I agree completely. It's not the first time that Stephen King has coped out on his endings. Remember 'It'? WTF giant space turtle?

I use to play the Dark Tower board game when I was younger. That and Talisman.
I love the book 'The Talisman' by Stephen King and Peter Straub coincidentally. The follow up 'Black House' isn't too shabby either.

This reminds me of another book I really enjoyed.
