I want you guys to think about what you're doing. You're going to be losing something far more valuable than a website if you continue down this road. I know I'm going to be made into a villain for doing this, but I accept this.
No one is making you out to be a villian. Some people are angry because of the contributions they made to the site when donations were asked for. That is a pretty scummy thing to do. With my limited interactions with you I am sure you will think about that and not punish those monetary contributions people put towards the site. There are other ways to protest than this.

Some of the money went towards the site up until today, and what remains will go towards the site in the future - I'm not stealing anything from you. Flippie has equal control of the site and can shut down the instance immediately if he desires to cease billing. It's not paid for in advance.

Toxicity by definition has proxy. 1 individual can literally 'poison the pool' - if one drop of anthrax is in a water well every water source, ground water source, ground water table is effected, for example.

How fast does calling a level headed person a dickhead incite a confrontation? Simple psychology really, that's why sayings like a turd in the punch bowl exist.

The only thing I'm mad at Jeremy for is he caused Corova to wake me up in the middle of the night crying about the website.

Pras Jeremy, Pras Red server.

So your saying BDA's toxic environment is entirely Anthrax's fault. That made perfect sense when a quick google search turned up this 1990 picture of him poisoning another guild in a different game. Witness accounts quoted Antrax at the scene saying,"Hee, Hee! Nothing can beat the music of hundreds of voices screaming in unison!"

Why is it that no one can ever just step back for a few days before making these kinds of decisions?

My guess is that people who spend the amount of time on this game it takes to find themselves in a position to make such a decision generally have some level of personal or social dysfunction.
