I never took the helmet graphic into account, but it's not enough to sway my choice.

As far as the dex/wis comment, I had heard that adding STA instead doesn't add much for hit points. Does anyone know of a chart that shows 1dex=what? and 1wis=xmana, or 1sta=xhp?

Thanks all for your input!

Ypu get roughly 4hp or so per stam at 60... But I don't know if there is a soft cap at which it's worth even less. I like your idea of dex or wis, but I think you'll find with normal raid gear and shaman buffs str and dex will cap but stam and wis won't come close. I would go all 20 in wis. More heals is always a good thing. At higher Lvl you can do some fun stuff with a combo of fungi, chloro, greater heals, slow on your weapon, a quick cast nuke here and there, and some bow kiting/root rotting before engage. Mana is always a good thing.

imo go with the wis, as many +wis items can be orientated towards priests and have less martial stats on them.

str can be buffed easier than wis!

http://wiki.project1999.com/Storm_Strength

etc. Make friends with a shm, for either grpage(buffs) or str potions. Its a good duo combination anyway.
Try bow kiting with a necro....if you can find one that will talk to you! most of them are sullen, selfabsorbed types.....

My main on live was a ranger, great class. I miss playing one here actually. Many of the best qualities/abilities of a druid, and you can fight. Make one!

Wisdom will never pull your bacon out of the fire... Stamina will. Dex is okay. Str is easyish to cap, really, just do what you want. Duo/trio w/ shaman + a dps until 40. Fear kiting duo w/ necro or enchanter (did enchanter, myself) from 40-52 outdoors. All about dem ranger pulls and maxing efficiency.

Humans on P99 can see as well as anyone else. It's a client thing which devs can't change.

True that classic human night-sight is no longer a thing.

Turning the in-game gamma up to 80% effectively neutralizing vision disparities doesn't count though.

Unless I've got some sort of brain damage (which is more than likely) I can see a STARK difference between my Human's unaided sight and my Half-Elf's Infravision. Half-Elf can cast Chill Sight Ultravision too, which is again noticeably better than Infravision.

There's still a difference - you just don't have the near blindness that used to exist for races without vision buffs.

Definitely remember my first "night" in Toxx forest on my erudite magician... Couldn't see anything!
