I'm still looking for a good quality natural powder. Been back at the gym for 2 months now and I still haven't decided on one. Don't want to bulk, I'm already big enough. Looking to lose the gut and slim down while adding some tone. Any suggestions on powder?

Also. Why powder so expensive????
I don't know a whole lot about the powder tbh. Here is what I do know.. you want a high quality powder if you want to build lean muscle. If you do want to use it, you need quality protein from a well-known brand. (i.e. my link has 1g of sugar, and 1g of fat, for 24g protein.)

The reason it is expensive is because milk is expensive. In the past, most quality milk has come from the US. I read something recently about China not importing as much milk, and instead making their own. With less exports, I would imagine milk prices would decrease within the US, but who knows.

I bet someone on the forums has way more knowledge on this, and a good answer.

What Nilbog linked is definitely one of the best products on the market. It's predigest Whey protein so it breaks down rather quickly. If you're active, or plan to be active it's going to be your best bet in my opinion. The performance line that I linked previously has the benefit (or detriment depending on your goals) of higher carbs/calories. I like the extra carbs in the morning in my shake since I cut out milk from my diet so that product works well for me.

In regards to your concern about price, really none of them are 'cheap', at least not ones that you'd want to buy. There's a lot of science that goes behind the powders and quite a bit of manufacturing and processing expense that drives up the cost as well. I would say I probably blow ~$100/mo on the shit.

With that said, I also run up a grocery bill of about $170/week, which leaves me with 4 meals a day and 2 shakes.

Pictured doesn't include my dinners which is the 3 lbs of veal wrapped up in the bag in the back. There's also salmon in the fridge. This is really just what I take to work. The overall diet gets boring, so I change it up slightly week to week, but nothing that exciting.

I decided not to work today, woke up around 3PM, GF and I got Zaxby's chicken wings. So I guess I had chicken wings for breakfast.

You don't lift.

Nah dawg "lifting" is for fucking fire giants. I exercise bro.

Like I mentioned though, I don't do it to be superman. But I do put a lot of yoked fire giants to shame at the gym, from not only the type of workout routine I do, but also cause I work my ass off all day by actually using the muscles, not just washing clothes on my abs. I do it for a few reason.

1. 23 different personalities at work, just in my department, in the construction field, you are talking a lot of ego's and a lot of clashing. Just a time to leave my phone in my locker, do my thing, and chill out before I have to go to class.

2. Keeps me out of trouble and drinking as much.

3. Although I love getting a little swoll its more or less to just be in better shape, been at my job for 8 years, and it still kicks my ass some days. Can't get past that. I just trying to stay in shape to keep up with it all. Eating healthier too

I do have to admit, your prepping is clean. I've been turned on to it for a while, might have to swap some recipes like some old bitches. I started doing it strictly because I was tired of having to eat at the job site everyday, being forced to eat fast food day in and day out because of our shitty lunch breaks. Or even when we can;t even break for lunch because of water mains breaks etc, I can run to my truck warm some shit up and eat real quick.

Getting your beach body for so cal or what? weather was amazing today, even got a bit of rain too!
