And for all the people either trolling or being crybabies because they aren't old/mature enough to have ever had pets, understand, or have to make that call... I feel bad for you.
All you people who never had to endure something difficult and awful, I feel bad for you.

I'd like to offer a bit of advice.

Two things:

* Make really damned sure you have a vet who knows what (s)he's doing and gives a shit. I speak from personal experience here... I saw a vet not sedate a dog properly before administering the drug that stopped his heart. They're supposed to be unconscious first. He suffered before dying and it was awful to see.

* Stay with and comfort him until he's gone. It's hard but it's the least you can do for a pal.

I'm sorry about your dog. It's amazing how attached we get to our pets. It's really hard to say goodbye. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I just dropped a grand on medical treatment for my dog, so nah.

I would never have him executed for personal convenience, as I am not a garbage person. Find a different apartment you fuck.

Sweet Jesus find a different apartment to live in you selfish prick. Rationalizing it as you did in the post won't make you feel any better.

Well. It was not a decision I wanted to make. After visiting with the vet, he indicated that my dog will constantly be in pain until he passes away.

While you all can debate and think less of me, I'd rather my friend not live a life in pain until his heart gives out.

I'm pretty sure the most humane way to do this is to take him for a ride. Get out on the highway, let him put his head out the window and enjoy the breeze. Then give him a little push into an oncoming truck. Quick, relatively painless, gets to enjoy those last few moments.

Or you could always just take care of the life that you decided to buy.

If anything, and quite understandably even if it's erroneous, should have probably already put him down. Your move is a blessing to this dog I feel.

Dogs are better off dead than living with humans who play Everquest, imo.
