I like Chest. Sometimes he makes unsubstantiated claims, abd he definitely has some radical opinions (some I agree with and some are a little out there), but all in all I think he's a good voice to equalize the propaganda of the hardcore neckbeards.

Oh, and to answer your question, people don't like him because he is outspoken against the hardcore playstyle, and these forums are mainly full of hardcores.

Everyone hated Chest well before the new raid rules and everything. He's been a professional crybaby since the beginning blaming the top guilds for his own guild's fuck-ups.

Yep. BDA is a fuck up guild. Can down every raid mob in the game but fucks up by not turning it into a job with more on call man hours than your local fire department.
