I guess being paid well is relative to the individuals lifestyle. Someone I consider well paid wouldn't be carrying around a shoe box with their earnings. Sounds shady, but it sounds like you are happy with it at least, that is all that counts right?

Why do I get the feeling that the shoe box is being used to hide illegitimate money? My guess is either hiding income or getting paid under the table in order to not pay taxes and collect unemployment.
