It used to be considered rude and offensive and essentially as "intent to harm" on LIVE Red servers - if you are looking at man's gear - you most likely want to steal it [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I never got mad about being inspected, but it's nice when people are social.
It always felt to me like a foreigner that walks up to you and invades your personal space without touching you. Technically they're not doing anything wrong. They're just standing as close as they do in their culture, but I don't like it all that well. It doesn't make me mad, but there's a better way, a more polite way.

I really think inspecting people, particularly people of your own class, lets you figure out what you need to buy to be sort of efficient. I know there is Magelo, but most of the people on there are level 55 or higher so you are not going to buy that stuff at level 10. [You must be logged in to view images. In the age of modern MMOs where this feature is overly accessible... it's not really considered rude on here anymore.

I remember on Morell Thule it was a privilege not a right lol, it had to do with the whole role playing thing, it kind of breaks character and was seen to be just too Gamer orientated.
I remember someone challenging me to a duel because I accidentally inspected him in the Bazaar, he wanted a throw down in the pvp arena lol. Stuff like that doesn't happen these days
