You go through the Bluesalt Brotherhood quest line in Anvilton (will have a green leaf over his head). Do this quest line, and one of the rewards is a tax certificate (used to pay your weekly dues for a plot) as well as your first scarecrow. There are tons of public farming areas throughout the game usually noted on the map as such. Given that there are such a surplus of new players, most of the starting areas are crammed 100% with plots so that there is no room to put your own plot. You'll eventually find one.

At this point, I'd recommend planting quickly maturing plants of some sort as you can flip it pretty quickly on the AH. I'm still learning the finer details of crafting and the farm shit, but that should get you started, anyway.

I am interested in the importance of the "Toughness" stat. (The "I'm magically better than you at PvP stat). In every game I played where this has been implemented, the result was cookie cutter gear and character builds. If you don't have the PvP gear, you suck at PvP, even if you don't suck at PvP. So you MUST get the gear to not be gimp.

Can anyone playing this game tell me whether or not this "Toughness" stat gimps players who do not have it?

Question #2:

Is there a "Taunt" ability? If so, what does it do in PvP?

I am thinking the real game does not start till at least 30ish..like EQ classic.

Im highly convinced the the early levels are just a big tutorial. Teach you how to get mounts, how to plant stuff, how to build stuff etc.
