While I have been spending a fair amount of my free time completely clearing out the largest abandoned mine I've ever seen followed by building a massive rail system... I can see the value in wiping it clean and starting over with basic mods, particularly the ones mentioned. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

The mods I linked are super good, they provide basic changes that make a sustain PVP environment fun. Obfuscator reduces the ability of Xray, Nocheat(obvious), Citadel allows buildings to have mild permanence from a single raider in the middle of the night (i.e. Rellapse's) also who wants to live in caves forever?

Prison pearl allows you to to trap someone in the end when you kill them with an ender pearl in your hotbar. Downside the pearls coordinates are transmitted to the player so his team can find you. If you log out with it on you they are released etc.

Jukealert basically turns jukeboxes into sensors that can records who is damaging blocks or crossing within range of the jukebox (deletes info if destroyed).

Fun mods.

Hi all. I'm going to try to clean this up a little bit.

Forgive me if I don't take plugin all of the plugin suggestions at this point. I'd like to stick to what I know and see if I can just make minor, incremental improvements.

Just in case there is no reset, if you lost a serious base, please PM me the rough coordinates along with your in-game name and I'll see what I can do, or if you don't know them, a little bit of a description. If all you had was a hole in the ground and a nether portal, please consider just rebuilding it.

Right now I have the spawn area protected, fire spread and creeper explosions off globally, and you can turn on sneaking without altering your walking speed with the /sneak command. That'll hide your name from a distance. If you'd really like lava spread off, I can do that, but it seems like overkill at this point. I'm going to put in an extremely simple base protection mod for now. I'll make a post when I've tested.

I'll defer to Bolinas on everything else. I'm going camping this weekend, so no computer access between Friday evening and Monday.

I wouldn't mind resetting everything but only if mods are implemented. It would be nice to build stuff outside that can't be peed on so easily.

I'm putting in extremely basic base protection. You might consider it too bluebie, but It can be tweaked. I primarily play on TNT cannon raid servers, so I do understand the importance of a healthy sheep / wolf balance, but I don't think it'll hurt to have some simple-to-understand protection for the time being.

This'll be based on placing blocks, sponges specifically. Placing a sponge will give you a square claim, bedrock to sky, and you'll only be able to use a limited amount of them, so your massive mines aren't going to be protected. Blocks are protected and that's it for now. Others can still open your doors, pull your levers, open your unlocked chests, and kill you. They shouldn't be able to pour lava or water inside your base. If you want to lock a chest, put a block over it. If you don't want someone in part of your base, seal it. Ender pearls should not work, so a wall should be sufficient.

Of course this is untested. Of course, this can be replaced in the future with something a little less protective, and of course, I love block durability plugins and cannons, but simplicity has it's benefits.

Worth noting, while you have /sneak active, boxes/ovens/workbenches/gates/etc. won't work.

This should be fixed now. Try it out.

I've also put in /spawn, another overly easy-mode command, but with protection, it is possible to get trapped in someone's base even unintentionally, through the weird portal linking problems, for example.

I'll try to get a long warmup and cooldown on it to make sure it isn't used for escape.

Protection is in. It uses sponges. It is 21x21 bedrock to sky, centered on the sponge. You can use up to 16 of them, and you can get one full set by typing:

/kit sponge

but do it somewhere safe because there is a long cool-down. Block placement, destruction and TNT are disabled in protected areas. Everything else is vanilla. Lock your chests by placing a block over them.
