I'm not advocating a bunch of crazy seasoning, but you should have something, even if it's just salt and pepper.
I'd recommend a marinade for any non-prime cut of meat, even filet. A little caesar dressing and some garlic and pepper can go a long way on a $7 steak.

Fair enough. I find Allegro marinade to be a great go-to for quick fixes. Add a little olive oil, your choice of red wine, allegro and freshly minced garlic.

If you like A1 you should try Pickapeppa sauce. I don't use it as a condiment (I put it in burgers, sloppy joes, sometimes add to steak marinade) but you might like it in lieu of A1. It's a little expensive - like $4 for a small bottle - but it's well worth it.
