They taste the best when they are raw. That's how we eat them around the bay area. Half shell on ice. So fucking good. I can eat like 40 in one sitting.

dude we would rake up quahogs in point judith cove in rhode island. one would get shucked and one would go in the bucket. sometimes the big quahogs were hard to swallow. i enjoyed the littlenecks tho. fucking alaska has no good clams. those shit bay clams from washington is all we get
