When I played this game I would travel around to explore, there was a lot of really great stuff in this game, just also a lot of really bad stuff too [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

The events that follow are neither bad nor good, just what happened when I played. I found a dark spot on a map, thought hey, maybe its cool dungeon! So I ran for like an hour to get there there and found a tunnel system full of IG-88 droids. They all conned red and I thought, meh I'm here to explore... if I die, I die. I attacked and the mobs just stood there without reacting... So I killed every one of them and got a lot of xp or whatever it was that you would get in that game and pretty much that was the end of my experience in that game..

Oh no, I just remembered the last straw that broke the camels back... I went to Endor, with 2 other people searching to view something I read about on the internet, a 'death star turret', embedded somewhere in the planet. Using the /loc system we went to the area, expecting to see some sweet views and an artifact. When we arrived we didn't see anything, we spun around looking all over, maybe it was hiding behind a tree? Or just that the loc given was a little off?... Then I hit the change camera view button on accident and my camera looked directly down upon the floor, there at my feet was the smallest, shittiest, tiniest, stupid piece of polygons ever put into a video game, thing was like the size of my characters blaster... I remember saying, "ohhhhhh my god, I found it...I am so sorry I dragged you guys out here... /sigh"

I think that event immediately followed me traveling to Yavin to see what was going on with the rebel base. It was empty of course.. Except 1 single Imperial guard standing in the middle of the giant room that made up the pyramid the base was in, he said nothing when you hailed him IIRC.

Also the reward of doing all the stupid progression quests to get inside Jaba's Palace, was to sit in a "bar" with no other players in it.

le sigh..

Lots of good stuff in that game, unfortunately too much bad. I could go on and on about my stories of disappointment playing that game heh...

Trying to hide behind a wall to avoid blaster fire, equipping a helmet expecting it would have an effect like ultravision did in EQ...

If any game was ripe for someone to mod IMO, it would be that one.

Well, I remember part of the point of working through all those missions to get into Jabba's private circle was access to Boba Fett and his missions.

I played on a SWGemu server a while ago and have been thinking about checking it out again--honestly I don't remember it being nearly as buggy. I think when I played housing was still being implemented.
