People often accuse my group that one of us are boxing... up until present my group had the following make up :

Myself, roomate, GF, brother, brother's wife and another friend. If our group is not complete, we get pick ups. The pickups/outsiders often think something is weird because of our general lack of typing unless we need to... why is this? We use skype.

Often my bro and his wife will leave their chars to auto follow me when running through a zone purely due to laziness and more often than not, we are accused of boxing.
Let me just say that if you are going to report someone, please get your facts straight. I'm sick of having to complete GM related tasks to prove we are not boxing because you people are so offended by the thought and are super quick to jump to conclusions.

Err... No. You've just said yourself that practically your whole group is doing telltale signs used to identify 2-boxers. If you're going to do these people will think you're boxing.

There's not many ways to identify someone boxing outside of the ones you listed.

If you're suspicious of someone boxing, pay close attention before reporting it though. If in any doubt, don't report it would be my advice.

I play on projectEQ sometimes, and even box there. The zones and items are not accurate, though. Probably 3/4 of the toons are boxed. But when I play on p1999, look out! If I spot you, it's curtains for you, I say.

I once was in BB and saw suspicious behavior. A toon was following another and ducking over/over and attack at precise times. It was very weird. I did not report because I was not certain according to what I know. However, if I had stuck around longer maybe I could have found out. In any case, I think the no boxing rule on p1999 helps to make it unique. The servers shouldn't be the same and I"m glad they're not. I think there should be a server that goes up to PoP and stops. This one goes to velious and stops. Why not?

Remember, if you think boxing is cool, take it elsewhere! 1 in 500 people might prefer cocoa puffs over fruit loops, but if you have 300,000,000 people that amounts to 600,000 people who prefer cocoa puffs and if you serve them fruit loops you'll get it thrown in your face. If only a few people don't like boxing and they come here then you should not come here to force your boxing habits on the people who do not want it. This world (eqemulator) is big enough for the minority populations. When they come together, they're the majority!

Respect others and they will respect you. Follow the rules. Don't box. Put away mq2 and your other tools.

Yes I understand that, but the point I'm trying to make is that even though groups/players sometimes do show those signs, don't jump to conclusions right off the bat without some deeper investigation of some sort...

A direct report leads to a GM popping in front of you while you're at a camp, or any activity for that matter, ports your group out and makes you do various tests to prove that you aren't boxing. This exercise gets tiresome because some douche bag thought you were boxing lol... it's like putting wheels onto a tomato, time consuming and utterly pointless.

Yes. ^^

Like Lagaidh, my husband and I are resigned to the fact that we'll probably be challenged some day as being boxers. I'd hope that someone who suspects us would talk to us before reporting, to rule boxing out and save the GMs the time and trouble.

Talk to you? I get asshole's shouting in /ooc that I'm a boxer when I've PLed friends on my druid. Had someone do it to me in Unrest courtyard so I went round buffing everyone except that person. Might have been petty but I felt like I won.
