But yeah this is like on the cover of the film and they did it purposefully I think to express what really makes her beautiful: who she is on the inside. Not that she isn't gorgeous, but showing her like this really emphasizes her innocent naiveté and good nature. She's adorable and not just because she's pretty.

I like to imagine that Amélie's facebook is full of very awkward pictures that are each a gem lol. Seriously, watch the movie.
