I agree.... Seargent Slate, Griffin, Air Elemental (invisible bastard), Vengeful Lyricist, Holly Windstalker (better known as “that bitch”). And yeah that Gynok Moltor asshole. Who’s fricken idea was it to put a lvl 24 mob in a sub 10 area.

This is part of the attraction of EQ to me, most games don't require eyes in the back of your head because they don't mix deadly KOS mobs in the same areas as xp mobs.

Not really a newbie mob at all... but my most hated green con mobs are the Scorpikis Guardians in the ravine in OT (those bastards around entrance to Howling Stones [Charasis]). If they attack you, you're probably in trouble...

I spent my days leveling up in Butcherblock. The orc runner, wandering greenbloods, and lowland basilisks had some special hate directed towards them.

Dark Assassin deserves a mention too, KOS 50rogue mob, the one in Feerrott roams like the entire second half of the newbie area and comes through trees to oneround people. Probably why all the smart ogres scoot to Innothule at lvl4.

And imo nothing mentioned compares to Mooto.
What sucks the most about a lvl10 goblin shaman running around an area designed for levels 5-9 is that shamans get SoW at lvl9. This bastage runs at chase speed around a huge chunk of the zone, and stops at every goblin camp to buff them up. Alot of the crap mentioned here is easy enough to strafe away from, but once Mooto caugh a whiff of your hairy feet you didn't make it to the guards.

(Special mention also to the early server dry bones skeletons who could instacast their burn DD on you without range/sight limitations. Cause of much dismay in Oasis.)

The ice-bone skeleton wandering outside permafrost probably deserves a similar mention. He cons yellow when everything else is blue and chain casts Spirit Strike (71DD) between swings which is basically terrifying when you are level 12. I'd say this guy is scarier to lowbies levelling in everfrost than even the mighty Martar Icebear is!
