I would play red if there was an RP Anti-PK PvE guild.
We started up <Spear of the Nation> at release and really tried, but there wasn't enough interest. If more of you bluebies had stuck it out... [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

The problem is the bad apples of red99 really keep people from remaining on red99. That and boredom for many people. The pk / anti pk crowd were pretty even on RZ. Relapse's signature is quite accurate for red99--swing on those nuts to reach nihilum dragon loots or get brought down by the pitchfork pvpers :P

Also, the banning of holocaust, while probs even worse people than nihil, aboslutely demolished competition on that server and has kept it like that ever since, really. One of the worst GM calls of all time.
I know the bad apples can be a problem, but honestly some of you guys join the server sort of expecting to quit it seems. One bad experience and you're making angry goodbye threads. It would be like someone trying EQ for the first time and raging over being killed by the giants in Oasis...

And a lot of us try to help out. Like I've immy healed and DS'd people going up against epic fungi rogues. Holocaust deserved their ban, but so did Nihi imo. Lately the GMs have taken a harder stance on behavior that's detrimental to the server and it totally shows. If more of you guys came over to see that maybe we could offer up more options than Nihilum and Azrael to our endgame players. As things are I just make alt after alt and play the leveling game, but I want to kill those dragons with nice people like you guys get to [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Fill out TMO application, obviously. We had like 1 fucking bard show up for VP this weekend. Sometimes 2. Can we not find a few dedicated bards ~

Anti-PK guild on a FFA PvP server defeats a purpose of a FFA PvP server.
You kill anyone you can kill as soon as you find them. That's what FFA is.
I mean you don't have to, but you should always expect that they will do this to you as soon as you turn your back.

That's why Teams PvP have always been more successful and acceptable - it gives you some direction and reasoning who to kill.

Aren't you suppose to be banned?

The people who invented the first space ships were brilliant. That doesn't mean anybody should actually want to use them 200 years later. Ideas are limited by means of execution. Everquest has amazing ideas that need to be completely reworked in their execution, in order for classic Everquest as it was envisioned to actually exist and continue to be relevant as things have evolved.

People so mad at me sometimes for just having a TMO tag.
When you wallow in crap, don't be suprised if you stink.

Name two members you find offensive in TMO today. My guess is you'd come up with something like alarti/tiggles, both of which have basically ghosted (though not alarti's fault--he's busy weekends and we've had nothing but weekends). Alarti is also more of a forum personality than a real problem in game.

If "play on red" threads seriously annoy you or ruin your day, you really need to turn off the computer and go find your life, wherever you left it. Seriously, grow the fuck up.

Yes, but it's rehashing of the same topics repeatedly, with the same general insults which are also half-begging. It's sad, truly, and unbecoming of a pvper ~

It's about proper moderation. They have a space to discuss these types of things. They didn't use it. Now forum mods are siding with them because sirken / deru love some pvp servers.
