So basically it's fair game to spam w/ cross server posts, however people aren't allowed to be mean to you. Nice..
Is it really so bad?

Most of sincerely don't wish to breed any animosity. We just want blue friends to come check out how great the devs have made Red99. And there still seems to be a fair amount of confusion from blue about exactly what red is, as evidenced by the people in Deru's poll by post thread listing imaginary reasons for staying away.

A couple red posters really put a lot of time and effort into their recruitment posts, though that alone doesn't make it not spam. If those of you that aren't angry trolls are really feeling annoyed with us we can at least talk about it all civilized-like. The GM ruling is what it is and people always like to push the boundaries, but I'd totally be up for listening to concerns that aren't rooted in anger.

Looking at the front page I see RnF-style threads about ninjalooting, maps and the wizard class (along with tons of helpful/good threads) and I wonder why the red threads wouldn't belong.

Because they are separate servers with separate forums.

Has anyone seen a single thread on the red forums asking them to come play blue? Is that a thing we even want? :P

As Deru said, it's in pretty poor taste considering our population is a fraction of blue's. Though we really just see posts like this as an opportunity to play around :P

An appeal to authority is a pretty poor argument, but we're all the same project and this is part of the overall plan to get bluebies to come try out the red server. The GMs see our efforts as being important enough. If we even get one player to come over to red from our recruitment efforts here it will have been worthwhile imo.

But yeah I can see how it might be annoying when we've got 3+ recruitment posts (in all caps) on the front page here. Maybe we should calm down a bit, because it's obviously not in our best interests to get y'all super pissed at us.

Can we also add the rule for red players to keep talk of the red server to threads dedicated to that topic? I'm sick of seeing "You wouldn't have this pansy problem on red!" in every other blue thread.

Derubael addressed this in point #2. If anyone does this outside of RnF, regardless of topic, they will be banned.

I guess my point was more: keep talking about red to threads specifically about red, we don't want to hear about it in completely unrelated blue threads.

Well he pretty much took care of that for you in point #2. He said that if anyone posts a "you wouldn't have this problem on X server" comment in any post outside of RnF then that person will be banned. This doesn't mean that there can be no more mention of Red server in any blue server post. It just means that people are going to have to couch their words so as not to be directly offensive and try to downgrade the other server.

You're missing the point. We should have it so topics stay on topic. Even something like "Have you considered red? It's quite nice there." doesn't belong in random blue threads.

This. 9 out of 10 posts I see about Red are this. I'm glad that this is going to stop.

.. Right? This will go both ways, right? ..... Right?
