Default Exponential ping

Not sure what the problem is because I can download fast and use netflix and everything else but when i try to play eq my ping starts normal around 50 but then after a min or 2 it will start doubling until it gets to 5000 or more and at that point i usually /q out. when i zone again it starts at 50 and then does the same thing. any idea?

Try taking your firewall etc down for 10 minutes, and plug an ethernet cable in if you're using wifi - try and eliminate as many potential problems as you can.

Are you tethering from your phone?

I was tethering but it seems like the problem is specific to this computer. My laptop seems to play just fine. Whats strange is i had been playing for hours before the problem started. I zoned into EC and it just started going crazy. I thought going off the tether might fix it so now i'm on wifi but still have the same problem. THB i'm just now noticing that my entire computer is acting slow and jerky after loading everquest. I tried cutting off the firewall too but it had no effect.

also, Ctr alt del causes EQ to freeze on me. It never did that before. As soon as eq stops all the jerky laggy computer responses goes away.
