This. If she uses drugs I prefer to be in charge of the regulation especially at the beginning of a relationship.

I assumed control over my ex's alcohol use because she was a sloppy mess who needed a father. Regularly denied her alcohol.

I would give her a sleeping medication instead with her consent (no cosby) as a more emotionally-stable solution to her need to tranquilize herself.
