I've been retired from P99-EQ & Uthgard-DAOC for quite a long while now, but if you ever seek advice with either one, don't hesitate to ask.

coding EQ is actually less complicated than DNA. 6,000,000,000 'rungs' of DNA for a human is roughly 750,000,000 lines of assembly code by my math and science
6bill * 2 (rung = 2) / 16 (AGTC is 2-bit binary system, comparing to 32 bit instruction set)

Actually the 2nd law of thermodynamics could apply quite readily here because this is a system going to cosmos instead of chaos. It was a simple comparison and a thought experiment.
To explain your second part, you have to rememeber they come in pairs for replication purposes. 3 and 5 alphabet would not pair. Furthermore, 4^2 is only 16 amino acids, so it had to be 4^3. A base-6 system would also have duplicates.

We are real intelligence, a lot harder to program than AI. We have checksums inside of our DNA. Jean-Claude Perez discovered an evolutionary mathematical matrix in DNA.
[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Perez discovered that the ratio of white letters to black letters is exactly 0.690983, which is (3-Phi)/2. Phi is the number 1.618, the Golden Ratio. When you overlay these 6 symmetries on top of each other, you get a set of mathematical stairs with 32 golden steps. Then an absolutely fascinating geometrical pattern emerges: The Dragon Curve which is well known in fractal geometry. [You must be logged in to view images. It is the same checksum used in the TCP internet protocol. http://voices.yahoo.com/computer-cod...50.html?cat=34 "Code that auto corrects itself just blows my mind". You can't tell me that shit just pooped itself out.

When i first heard about phi some friends told me about it and talked it up to some miracle discovery, once i looked it up i lost all interest and it seemed simple and plain.
