The whole reason it started is because some teenage kid in korea died at his computer playing wow. He never left the PC and police found him dead with like 100 socks with shit in them tied off in his corner.

Couldn't find a more detailed article, as I recall she lived with her parents and they found her dead body because they smelled something foul coming from her bedroom, which turned out to be poop socks. I could very well be confusing her with the Korean though.
