Druid vs Shaman (without Torpor) as a solo class in Velious?

Sell your manastone (useless in Velious), and buy Torpor (the tits in Velious).

Wouldn't count yourself out on Torpor in Velious! Lot more raid mobs, so lots more spells should be dropping. A lot of groupable stuff too. I know I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I don't think Kunark spells will drop in Velious. If anything, prices may increase as people move out of Kunark and into Velious.

Torpor will only drop in Kunark.

Velious raid mobs only drop Velious raid spells (of which each class only really gets 1). Which makes them ridiculously common (especially since some like Lodizal die every 12 hours and always drop 4 spells). Which *SHOULD* make them cheap. But who knows with this server.

I would think that some of the Velious spells will be very expensive for quite a while because people who have a lot of money will be willing to pay a lot of money to get those spells quickly. God knows I wouldn't want to be a level 60 druid in Velious without the new heals and POTG, or a 60 wizard in Velious without the bane nukes, or a 60 shaman in Velious who cannot be a bear, etc. Won't be until those folk have their spells and then some that the prices come down on them.

I'm sure on live, where there was less money and fewer high levels and less knowledge of the game, those spells were cheaper. But here, better brace yourself!

If you're soloing for loot:

Druid can solo lodi (with charm). Shaman cannot.

There's not a ton of other mobs (that are worth killing) which a non-torpor shaman will be able to solo that a druid can't. Maybe some things in Kael or Skyshrine or possibly Velks

stranglehold on the good kunark camps should lessen making it easier to camp for torpor

Price on it probably wont go down any though since fewer people locking down the good kunark camps just means even less supply of it

You guys really think selling the stone to buy Torpor would be the way to go? I remember when stones were 300k, isn't there a chance that the price could go back up?
