Are these spell resists broken like in P99? Do pure meele do max dmg based what seems like solely on level? Does it only make sense to have a Wizard or pure meele?

they're using the PoP era spellfile, which means every spell is doing insane amounts of damage, but resists aren't that bad, and melees also are hitting very often for very high amounts

they compensate casters in velious by leaving in focus effects, so from what i heard it was actually pretty balanced

Server is pretty fun, but has a long ways to go. Still many bugs and people seem to be doing a good job at reporting them. Devs fix problems fast too. Usually once an issue is brought up it is fixed and put in for the next patch.

Resists: Too early to tell

Lots of non-classic shit in the game that needs removed, but that is how it is starting from a fresh code. Exp is fast for beta but will be adjusted when it goes live. Certain zones will have a 75% exp bonus to bring pvp to some main areas.

Casters are going to rule the day unless they bump melees up some. Those nukes hurt with no resists.
