Actually it is true that the PVE is terrible and you will have to grind a pretty damn large amount of it to get max level.

Are you dense? People are level 50 after 4 days, many many people, meaning they most likely didnt spend 24 hours a day leveling. Meaning in 3-4 days you too can be level 50 without much PvE time invested.

Uh the giant raid exp wave from when the server launched is not typical of the average player on DAOCs leveling path.

It usually takes a week or two and the PVE is bad, like really really bad.

Explain to me how say, for example, camping the graveyard in Mistmoore is leaps and bounds better than hmm, any camp in DAOC. Im guessing it doesnt have the same amount of content and refinement of zones as EQ, but the game itself, the killin of mobs, is fine. There was a bunch of ghosts we farmed on a beach somewhere, it felt just like an EQ camp where you pull mobs into the meat grinder and get used to your class skills for when the time of PVP comes.

Have you actually played on the server? I thought it was too fast, but now that theyve nerfed the zerg xp ill try a regular way up on my stealther to see how it goes.

Maybe youre thinking of Uthgard, which took me 3 weeks of solid grinding to get to level 30. Its not like that on Origins.

Also I'm not complaining the exp is too slow, I'm complaining that the PVE is so god awful a majority of the people I have known including myself quit DAOC EMU servers well before they get to the endgame PVP most people play it for.

Youre just repeating the same thing, explain to me whats so better about staying 6 hours at the same spot in Mistmoore graveyard grinding mobs vs grinding mobs with a group in the Mithra tomb in DAOC. I dont see it.

On my mercenary, i got at least 3 skills i can activate only if something specific happens.

So if I parry, i can chain into another skill. If i evade, theres a skill i can follow it with. I can go behind the mob and backstab it, i can flank him from the side and do yet another skill. Id say it beats spamming shock of fire for 4 levels as a level 4 everquest wizard.
