I have a huge crush on Taylor Swift, but she's not the girl I'd want to date. The sexiest woman I've ever known was probably about a 7 when she was in top shape and more like a 5 or 6 at the size 14 I knew her last. Still, when she threw me against the wall and said, "I need it right now" and stared into my eyes, it was about the hottest thing ever. Appearance is just one element. I have a very pretty woman hitting on me currently but she smells funny to me and she's extremely shallow and self-absorbed. That's not hot. 7's MAYBE. Although I believe you'd be hard pressed to find a prudish 10, or even a 9.

In all honestly most people's "1-10 scale" is usually tied to attributes that we find aesthetically pleasing. Most of the the time it's on a subconscious level that you may not even be aware of.

Like when you see a woman who might not rank in the 10 range but there's something oddly peculiar about her that you just can't put your finger on.
