Maybe there'd be less debate over who is tinfoil hatting and/or "corrupt" if there was some better communication between our server leaders and the community regarding their decision making process. I don't know if its a genuine refusal to do it or not, but something stinks.
No offense but GMs rarely have ever explained in detail everything to the players about their decisions on this server. They do not answer to us. It is odd that when calls go against a certain guild there is "legitimate concerns with management" according to you guys. However, when calls go against other guilds "Nothing is wrong with management they are all just cheaters that wear tinfoil hats!!!".

It's like watching you guys say the exact same things people in other guilds were saying before people in your guild got busted. Except then according to you fellas it was because everyone else was breaking the rules. Hows the shoe on the other foot feel ? We can have your tinfoil hat specially tailored depending on the size of your head.

I have been a supporter of VP pnp for quite a while. Especially when evidence was presented for exception incidents for guides of the era.

From a bug thread posted by someone there. NOTICE the very first condition.

5.6.2 Acceptable CSRep Presence in Customer Service Limited Zones

The presence of Customer Service Representatives in Customer Service Limited Zones creates two undesired situations. First, players are more likely to ask for assistance in gameplay issues from the CS staff if a CS Rep is in the zone. Second, players are more likely to blame CS Representatives for any inconvenience they may experience if a CS Rep is in the zone. For these reasons mentioned above CS Reps must not be in Customer Service Limited Zones except under the following conditions:
•They are investigating a possible Exception Incident (Abuse, Disruption, or Exploitation) at the request of a player.
•They are investigating a possible bug at the request of a player for documentation purposes.
•They are removing a corpse from an object such as the ground, a wall, a tree, etc. according to Corpse Recovery Procedure (See 7.3 Corpse Recovery)
•They are unsticking a player stuck on the geometry (in an object, in a wall, etc). The player should be moved the minimum amount of distance necessary to unstick them from the geometry.
•They are summoning a corpse from a verified inaccessible area listed in 5.6.2.1 to a position of the player's choice within the zone.
•They are summoning a player from a verified inaccessible area listed in 5.6.2.1 in the Customer Service Limited Zone to a non-PvP area of Arena and then back to either the zone-in point of the Customer Service Limited Zone or to another player of the player's choice in the Customer Service Limited Zone.
•They are following Policy and Procedures concerning an Under the World Case. (See 7.13)

Thanks so much for doing the research and finding this. I knew I didn't remember training in VP for a reason

While I am sad to see VP training go (definitely the most fun to be had after 3 years of Kunark, for me anyways), it will be interesting to see where this change takes us.

I wonder what the staff at the time of the non-csr policy's introduction thought would happen with training allowed. Pretty much everyone I knew thought only TR would ever get kills in VP as a result.

Hey Jeremy,

TR would of been in VP, got the loot they want, and left VP. Had VP of been opened in a timely manner. TR never had a huge roster, they ran on much much lower numbers than most guilds. TR could of geared out their characters and left the server or gone on hiatus happy in the knowledge of server firsts being ticked and characters ready for velious. Not farmed it for their alt, or 2nd alt like TMO has.

Remember please that TR had 40+ VP keys before TMO had 1 VP key. TR had a full raid force ready for VP before TMO had their first Trak kill, and while TMO would still wipe quite reliably on a fear break in.

So one can sympathise with your post, of course TR would get all the VP dragon kills. However until Amelinda and Uthgaard were corrupt to the point of so many TR leaving the server, that TR could hardly field a raid for Trakanon anymore and TMO started getting kills. Give it another 12 months after that yet, and when TMO had enough keys VP was opened. Coincidentally possibly of course, but it did smell fishy.

So what resulted was a server first Phara Dar for TR, which was nice, and then an opportunity to see a well overdue velious and leave uthgaard and amelinda behind with EQ mac. TR left all of their gear, chars and everything else to see and conqour velious.

Remember while TR left all and everything behind and happily just left, TMO's propoganda machine went into overdrive with 'running TR off the server' (TR ran themselves off the server the moment Amelinda and Uthgaard went psychotic and seemingly Amelinda was accepting real life payments from at least one TMO member as all would find out later); and while TR levelled new characters and explored velious and had a great time from all reports, it seems TMO went on a farm spree in VP whilst also cockblocking the entire server on all other spawns, and a mass buyup of characters including at least a dozen IBTR ex toons of people who cashed out when their guild left.

One can surmise that at this point, maybe you should of farmed VP for a while, opened up the lions share of encounters to other guilds.

Now, I am in IB. I have been since the moment I joined the server. I enjoy healthy competition. But, the competition TMO gives is not healthy competition.

It is poisonous, nefarious, childish and insulting to think that TMO gives an honest competition. Having 4+ raiding characters, a 150 person roster of characters parked at:
Plane of Fear
Veshans peak
*Pullers and rogues parked at every lava tunnel in VP for each dragon
Timorous Deep
Trakanons Lair
Emerald Jungle

Is not competition, and it is definitely not welcome behaviour on the server to anyone but yourselves. When so many of those characters were bought with RL money from IB gentlemen who we now see so often at various mobs camped out, then we have a problem.

How do you compete with TMO, who for every single active member at every timezone, from years of zerg recruiting (I used to be solicited for guild on my level 40 alts quite often in the early 2012/late 2011 era), and RMTing geared raid characters, has an option of 4+ mains to play camped at each given encounter...

The answer is difficult, the fact we still compete is a triumph. Noone can argue your position as top dog. But a humble crew of folk would of got their loot and opened the server up for others, like our original intention. 80% of IB are still waiting on velious, after killing phara dar once. They dont care one bit for crowns and sow swords. Just in the killshot.. During the original VP rotation, on the 2nd weak, almost all of the IB that returned for VP opening, didnt show up. Thats how much IB does not care about loot.

So TMO has shown a real class in dominating VP, and all of the rest of the raid encounters. Its like an extreme case of middle child syndrome, who takes and takes to make up for an upbringing of scraps and hand me downs, never learning humility, and lacking a goal in the game.

If TMO had a goal, that was to kill mobs, then you would not all be suspended, banned, disbanded and crying to IB folk in tells. IBTR had, and has a goal. Server firsts, minor farming, and leave and chill.

Please learn some humility, for the sake of the servers health.

For years, I have asked TMO members for rotations, rezzed your clerics after your wipes to faydedar, fear breakins etc. I have asked to stop the poopsocking with many different methods. But you guys have one goal, as much loot as possible to support a 150+ person roster, and it has been alleged an RMT agenda. To hell with anyone else, has been TMO's M.O.

Now, Rogean doesnt want people like that in his playground, he has made this clear.

What are TMO to do now?

Well, lets look at the last 24 hours:

1. TMO disbands for the most part
2. TMO members start accepting invites to <Lord Dojo>, <The Alliance>, <Tartysomething french>, <Fuck the Noise> (how the fuck does a GM make that for you, corruption much with guides or GM's Knix?), and even (this is hilarious) <Forceful Entry>.

3. TMO members now talking to us sayign theyre camped out at raid targets unguilded on some toons to ignore the raid suspension and disrupt the server or others.
4. TMO members across three guilds approaching other guilds to have 3 slots in a raid rotation. LOL
5. TBA...im sure some more juicy shit will happen as every hour passes.

I like a lot of guys in TMO however, Jeremy you have always been a good laugh, and when your head isnt in your arse a solid pal to have fun with. Necrious is arguably one of the coolest guys on the server, and the list goes on. But the attitude as a whole, and the blatant disregard for anyone not TMO on the entire server has reached boiling point.

Noone here wants you.
Rogean and Nilbog have displayed they do not want you.

IB and FE have instigated a rotation in which we are one guild, (as to share the server more fairly, as our 1-2 characters each are already happily geared enough to enter velious).

I just hope you guys can come to terms with the facts, stop blaming everyone but yourselves, appologise, reform, trim the fat and forum trolls such as yourself and let the cool guys in TMO with integrity and spine continue to play on a new PNP server we've all been blessed with the opportunity to create.

I welcome you all, non douchebag TMO, to Project 1999 PNP. One raid rotation slot though lads.

Motec.

This makes me happy... VP was a mess. Just one big excessively adversarial aberration of the spirit of classic EQ.

Nilbog I think the staff coming out and saying that you guys are tired of the insane competition that dominates the endgame scene is great. Bringing the PnP to VP is great as well.

All we need now is simultaneous repops and the cleansing will be complete. Repops are totally classic too - there are logs showing that Verant reset the servers basically every week during the Kunark era.

You really don't want simultaneous repops. It sounds great, but it's a mother fucker.
