I’m continually surprised on an almost daily basis about how many people, despite the fact that so many of us lived this all 10 years ago, don’t seem to get it.
The only thing nicer than the pixels your guild loots today are the sweet salty tears of your rivals who got no pixels. And the only thing sweeter still is posting about their failure on the message boards and, just perhaps, calling them all faggots.
Likewise, to claim hacks, lack of skill, or unfair tactics is the only consolation prize there is.
Why would anyone deny either group their just rewards?
It’s all about the competition. And I’d argue that the gamesmanship on display in these threads fosters that competition more than the pixels themselves.
For those of us scrubs who aren’t involved in the competition, we should just sit back and enjoy the shit talking from the outside. It only gets better at Velious.
