Incoming argument that Velious provides lots of new targets blah blah, Nihilum doesn't even have the numbers to kill the majority of targets in Velious, and you're going to tell us the other guilds will be able to? Lol? Velious is a raider first expansion, this ain't blue where people will be reliving the journey and experience of ToFS.
wtf heartbrand we can get bracers of benevolence and compete with vulak geared characters with that

There is more content in velious that can be accomplished by group or small raids than big raids.

not sure if dumb or retarded

Faction armor will be obtainable by everyone, which gives quite a few good pieces. Not to mention dozens of great quest items, drops from dragons in ww/dn and a lot of gear from kunark which will no longer be farmed. 2h from tantor, exquisite velium, PoG armor, list goes on and on.

If you're comparing best in slot vulak items with everything else, yes theres a disparity, but thats end of end game.

Had a 60 monk on rallos zek name Rakariz during velious.

There isn't nearly enough people to sustain two PVP servers.

Can we agree that an ideal world we'd have double/triple or more the current population? I'm fairly sure the majority would agree with that. So how do you attract new players? They've tried experience bonuses and that helped to a degree. Some unforeseen things like EQMac getting pk'd helped.

I think the only thing left is a new server. No matter what people say there is always an initial interest. A chance to establish yourself. A chance for manastones and prenerf guises.

Doing a different rule set, which really has to involve some sort of team based deal or its just a second R99, also gives the devs and playerbase to see if that ruleset is more attractive to people.

So if the end result of this is we figure out the best ruleset and increase the total PVP population by a modest amount why fight it? I know it may suck to some people who have invested time in their characters, but it's not like that time will be lost when the servers merge.

I'm staying here. We're all going to end up on the same server, so why bother making a new toon? By the time most of you've caught up to where you used to be the servers are going to merge. I just don't see the point.

I think there will be a decent amount of people who take advantage of low population R99 server. Keep in mind you can multibox between servers, so expect any decent loot dropping mob to have a level 60 glued to it. Raid targets will still die. I would just prepare to be solo'ing a lot for exp.
