Ive only farmed this ring for cash and never had much use for it, til I rerolled a pally.. Now I'm curious, invis vs. animal will work for any mob tagged as non-humanoid non-undead? Or are there certain exceptions to invis vs. animal such as the frogs in Guk or maybe drolvargs?

Gobbie Ring will break charm for any pet from what I've read.

Camped that courier fool for like 20 hours. 60+ couriers dead = 0 rings.
Gave up and bought the dam thing...sanity saved.

The Courier is a somewhat uncommon spawn. The drop rate on the ring is very poor.

I got my first ring after 18 Couriers and have still not obtained a second after 49 more Couriers.

I believe me and swiftlie both camped that thing for a good 30+ hours netting several lvls, we never found one. I came back later on my SK when I was in my 50's and gave it another shot for a good 2 days and still no luck. That being said, I spent about a 10th of the time at the Sarnak Fort and grabbed multiple bracers of the Hidden.

I just sat at the solo pop for courier killing so maybe that was my problem. Camping this was a nightmare and I now hate the item because of it. I'm pretty sure i could spend weeks there and not find one.

Ok so I've camped 2 rings so far on Red so I'd say I'm at least somewhat familiar with the process on getting the courier to spawn. I decided this week to farm a third for a little extra money. So far I've spent about 5 hours at the camp over the last 3 days in total and I'm starting to notice a weird rate of popping the courier. At first I thought it was coincidental but after 3 days of the same thing it looks an awful lot like a trend.

What I'm seeing is several (3-5) couriers spawn very early into my camping, usually within the first 30 mins. After that it quickly begins to taper off. After the 2 hour mark I'm usually lucky to see a courier every hour. If I camp out and come back the next day its the same exact thing, 3-5 couriers very quickly and then almost nothing. It seems as though the chance to pop is on an curve. Many very quickly and then slowly decreasing to nearly none.

Has anyone else noticed this? The first ring I was able to get within 3 days and about 30 couriers. The second ring I farmed I was able to get in one long 8 hour session and about 8-10 couriers. I didn't notice the courier spawn rate decreasing with my first ring but I did notice it on my second ring and I thought it was just coincidental. Now that I'm on the third ring camp I'm seeing it once again.

I'm pretty sure the camp is just pure luck of the spawn but I'm starting to wonder!

He has many PHs that respawn instantly when the PH / Courier dies. If you get "off" and the PH lives, it'll feel like eternity's between spawns.

On Mac server, IVA had an abnormally large aggro value . Mainly due from spamming the invis spell. To the point of being able to spam click it and aggro kite an entire train while you let wizards PBAE blast down a train. Any non-bard could keep aggro spamming it.

I mention this because someone earlier mentioned it wasn't useful to a tank. Besides pissing off your healer due to each click dropping the tank off the healers target window (because invis mechanics). Besides that it was huge aggro replacing midnight mallets in some cases.

I know a few times early on I let the PH slip by but after the first ring I camped I've been able to hold 2 spawn points on lockdown with my bard. Keeping both knocked down for several hours in some cases and I still notice this rarity of spawns the longer I sit there. I'm sure its just me but it does seem odd.

Case and point is that this camp sucks. That's why it's valuable. Very prone to the one more syndrome since spawn time is only 30 seconds.

I spent about 15 hours before getting one.

Just ONE MORE
