Fortunately, there are people who are more willing to type out the "correct answer" than to type out a response that basically says "idiot for not searching correctly." That's like telling the newb in game, "idiot for not googling," rather than giving the coords (which you handily know) for, say, the firepots in TD.

Correct, but it destroys the immersion of the game to look up everything. It also destroys the concept of "community building" in a lot of ways.

Oh that statement wasnt just ment in EQ terms. I ment in life in general aslong as google is around you really dont need to ask questions. I have friends that call me up asking me stuff and my response to them is "Did you google it?" because most of the time i dont know the answer to the question myself and i just end up googling it for them. People just need to learn to cutout the middle man.
