Sam, I do agree that a 2hr CR is way too much. I am thinking along the lines of a failed fear raid or a failed naggy raid. I think if you died in say EC and were bound in Qeynos, you could probably find a porter to get you there, for a fee.

Maybe they can have something like this:

- You die, can run and loot corpse for full exp recovery.
- You die, can rez at nearest town and lose % exp.

So it is up to you, but you DO have the option to just keep playing, but you will have to make up the exp loss. The issue is that now risk vs reward goes away. So you can just sacrifice exp to keep trying to kill xx mob with no repercussions.

I also agree that medding for 15 min is stupid. I am not 20 anymore, I do not live at my parents house, going to school and working part time. I have a family and a job. So there has to be some happy middle ground for thing like medding, traveling etc.

I feel like you just described WoW. BTW, looking at the EQnext wallpaper seems like they totally ripped off WoW models.

Don't compare blizzard and SoE plz Sony hasn't really released a bad game... (if you ain't played eq2 past first update... shut up) but eq,swg,eq2,vanguard all mazing games at some point .. I'm Rdy for eq next this is my last chance at playing a mmo before I shut my PC down for good.....

EQN will:

• have heavy use of instancing
• be F2P
• almost certainly be on the PS4 (and so carry all the design dumbing down necessary for console)

Those three things right there kill any potential interest I ever had in the game. GG SOE.

id consider losing a level or perma death a penalty. i dont think time sinks are neccessary to raise the stakes. maybe its just e but now adays when i play games i wanna play games. wow sucks because pvp dead, i have no idea how good the pve is because i never raided. once world pvp died wow became unplayable.

i think i should clarify, im not against CRs but 2 hours is a bit much. i hope there is some kind of travel system like flight paths so that melees are screwed. i guess im more against the binding restrictions which is one of the main reasons CRs can be a real bitch for melees and non porters.

i hope eqn is more fast paced as well. 15 min to med to full isnt my idea of fun. i actually prefere out of combat regen (forgot when it was introduced)
