Well if you have evidence of RMT going on, report it to the staff. What else can they really do aside from act information players give them? I think it is taken seriously, but let's be honest, the staff doesn't have time to review every single trade that goes on here and as soon as it came out that they did "flag" certain trades people will find a way around it such as breaking it up into smaller transactions etc.

Coming up with a way to enforce a ban on account trades would go a long way to stop a lot of it. But it is always going to happen, shit I remember people using global auction when this server was new "WTB MANA$TONE!". And if people were willing to spend real cash on items in an emu server that had been out for 3-4 months....they are certainly willing to do it now.

I started playing Everpatch a few months before Velious and there were tons of people eBaying accounts and plat already. A friend of mine paid $160 for 10kpp iirc.
