There's also a glitch in the way current spell graphics work.

From 1 - 33 you have the same level 1 particle effects
From 34 - 48 you have the intermediate particle effects
from 49 + there are the third tier of particle effects:

Did I misread this? All of my toons on P99 have the highest level spell effects from level one which is strange but I'm not complaining. I just thought this was a bug or something they couldn't change.

2 broken things

1 you do not have the high level effects, no one does.(green orange and blue)

2 you have intermediate (green and orange)


you should have only green spell graphics for buffs under a certain level (previous poster says 33 but from what i remember you had the intermediate buffs at 24 and the triple spell graphic came at level 39.

Finally one thing that is 100% optional, and does not effect you in any form, like the texture patch, or any customization's you may have, you say "not classic"? How does this even effect you?

What if we took the bible and said "NOT CLASSIC" and killed children with stones for disobeying their parents? In court, they simply say

"Oh yea, it's cool to change the things i want to have changed, but as for others, even if it doesn't effect me, it's not classic brah. Oh do I have the texture patch? Oh yea how come when kunark was released, you couldnt give your epic to a bat and have someone else loot it before the date it was patched? brah,

On live the cutoff was right at 29 or 30 for the intermediate spell graphics not sure for here though as i don't play a caster.

I just remember casting my level 4 wizard DS over and over again at level 30 because the intermediate spell graphic looked cool.

Why would you disallow something from client-end that is for aesthetics only? Ok, please ban ALL custom UI? Ok, please bring back the original 600x400 resolution fully non-transparent UI that took up 80% of your screen because it's not classic and make ONLY that available because I spite everyone else that has different tastes? Make it so you cannot move ANY UI element because it will personally effect MY gameplay. Please ban the texture patch so my eyes can burn with massive LCD screen with 16 bit resolution.

I'm sorry some of you enjoy having repetitive spell effects for every spell, but I think lightning looks cooler than red pixels for a ..uh..i don't know, a lightning spell? Makes sense to me. Just like you have different UI tastes than I do. This is no different. Nothing effects you no matter what I choose nor will anyone ever know.
