I'm looking into these as I get time/inclination. There are some duplicate drops that shouldn't be there, some drops that may not supposed to be there at all, and some drop rates that need fixing. There are other issues as well.

In the end, I don't think anyone will be pleased.

Except the dev staff, Ele and Nirgon of course.

I don't understand why all stuff doesn't drop with equal chance. It would take a huge amount of evidence to really conclude with high probability that they had different chances.

Also I assume by duplicate drops you mean stuff like the Seance/Deathspeaker staves, Robes of Asphyxiation/Smothering? Or like how some of the static strike swords drop from both Druushk and Hosh?

It does. Out of the 11 drops Silverwing has, 10 are 9%, 1 is 10% (Scimitar). Just how it rolled when I made them originally. It does have a higher chance though :P

As far as modifying rarity beyond that point, if sufficient evidence can be provided, we'll change them. If not, we won't.

Where do you guys get info on drop rates from tho? It's not as if verant ever released them and you can't go by what players said since it was done so rarely and the loot tables are so large you could have scenarios like this thread where the scimitar appears incredibly rare but is actually quite common.

On a serious note, I think it's reasonable to give every item off a particular VP dragon an equal chance of dropping because nobody did know the rarity rates.

I think there may be a problem with the more shit loot dropping more currently, such as Deathspeaker staffs and the like.

can confirm. Did VP one time on RZ before Velious and got Crown of Rile. Therefore 99% drop rate.

I 'know' some of the rares, like Shissar Apothic Staff, Trorsmang, Azure Sky, Scimi, etc. Some guilds got super lucky. Others (like mine) got screwed.

Easy to call rares like Belt of the Destroyer however, are NO problem to quantify. Due to the insanely small sampling that VP got on live, it is really hard to say what was rare. Most if not all the items were listed in short order.
