Default Installer crashing attempting to install Titanium edition

Hello all,

I've done numerous searches, I am stumped. I am on Windows 7 64 bit. Installation Method: mounted CD1 with Virtual CloneDrive.

Update**: So I know the files aren't corrupted. It installs on my laptop fine, just not my desktop. Only difference I can think of is my Laptop is a 1st gen i7, my desktop is a 2nd gen i7. Laptop is 4 core 8 thread, Desktop is 6 core 12 thread...

I've tried these:

-rechecked to make sure the installation files are pure and not corrupted.
-Run as administrator, Run with compatibility mode (XP SP2, SP3, Windows 98)
-Went over to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional and renamed RunTime to RuntimeOld
-Cleaned out all temporary files.

I keep getting the same message below...

Problem signature:

If you can install the game juts fine on your laptop, why are you worried about installing it on your desktop?

Take the installed EQ folder from your laptop and copy/paste it onto your desktop with a USB drive. No need to run the install utility more than once.

Your processor version won't matter for EQ, I'm playing on a Sandy Bridge 3570k and running just fine in Ubuntu 12.10-64bit LTS via Wine.

Have you tried NOT using compatibility mode?

Try this for me, let me know where you get hung up:
1) Copy your default Titanium install directory from your laptop to a USB drive (C:\Program Files\Everquest or something like that, copy the WHOLE Everquest folder).
2) Paste the Titanium install onto your C: drive on your desktop. Make sure you have read/write permissions in the Everquest folder.
3) Update the default Titanium install with the P99 specific files. Follow the getting started guide.
4) Run P99.

Agree with Falkun, I would just copy the folder to your desktop. You can also shrink the install before you move it to speed up the copy time.

Use the following Batch file and be sure you follow the instructions. This will remove all uneeded files and make the game much smaller for a quicker move.

Yup, falkuns got it dead on here. Just put that shit on a flash drive and follow his instructions, should work just fine. if you're still having issues please be sure to report the exact steps you took when copying the fies, along with any error messages you recieve while trying to run eq.
