Buying/Selling guidelines

Heya guys, so I had a good idea to make buying and selling in the EC alot nicer and easier. My idea is as follows:

If you are selling something use /auc.
If you are buying something use /shout.

This way the colors are different and so if you are looking to buy or sell something you know precisely where to look. I think if we all used this pattern for buying/selling it could be highly optimized.

Nothing can improve buying/selling in EC.

It just sucks.

I get annoyed when people auction in ooc, if i see someone auction in shout, they're getting ignored.

this...

You start using ooc (for chatting) and shout (for non auction zone wide crap) for auction stuff you will get on peoples ignore list.

It's not a terrible idea, except that people are way too finicky about chat channels. I really don't see why the text being a different color with a different word at the beginning is suddenly some massive annoying inconvenience that merits ignoring them.

There's more to a channel than its color. It's got more to do with which filter it's under, most folks filter things to certain windows so they don't miss important content in another window.
