Aegis of Life

I was doing the Aegis of Life quest on my cleric alt, I got the items and ally faction, I turned the items in and the NPC ate them even though I had enough faction.

Notice he cons ally and you only need high warmly to do the quest. Also notice he said "you have not yet proven yourself" meaning I did not have high enough faction, but my faction is maxxed so something is set incorrectly.

Ally is currently not a valid faction option due to several restrictions applied in the source code. Please explain how you achieved ally faction so it can be tested.

Already explained this to Zyrek but I guess it did not reach you.

Killed a bunch of putrid skeletons while gathering the quest items. Was aimable in Qeynos when I went to check and then did the following quest with about 1700gold.

Again, ally is not an option. The faction caps before the client will open the ally option. I'll be modifying the PL file on test to see if I can break the cap even in GM mode.

I doubt youll need to modify anything. just get enough faction to do that quest I linked. And do it about 900 times. See if your ally.

A player had asked me advice on this quest since he knew there had been problems involved. I explained to him to max his faction and consult me before a turn-in. He maxed his faction and was at warmly. This is just for reference sake.

I hit ally with my dwarf cleric to the dwarf warrior guilds after a few levels of killing in crushbone and getting the "your faction could not possibly get any better" message. I thought it was odd, as I recall "ally" being added during the Velious era. A few days later I checked my faction again and I was warmly. This was all maybe 3 weeks ago. I have no idea what caused ally to be available, and then to revert back to warmly.
