Default Fritz says thanks to those folks in EC!

Last night I took my barely 5th level druid to a bubble into 7th level in about 2.5 hours of play, and it was a hell of a lot of fun.

I spent my first hour just beyond the gate in Misty Thicket, taking out white conning grass snakes, shadow wolves and black bears. This got me to level six, at which point I decided I needed a change of scenery.

Based on some forum posts, I grabbed all of my 9th level spells (Ouch! That was expnesive!) and ran through Kithcore Forest. At night. Lots and lots of nasty looking undead, but hugging the wall I made it safely to West Commons.

From there it was an easy jaunt to EC, where a kindly 15th level druid answered my request for a bind in Freeport. I tipped him the few platinum I had to spare and was off to EC!

I headed to the tunnel, and asked those in the zone if anyone was willing to buff a newly arrived solo druid. A bunch of folks were gracious enough to give me a number of buffs and I was off hunting! I managed to take out a few wisps, but didn't realize that my trusty rusty scimatar wouldn't harm them.

Recovering a bit from chucking lots of spells, I suddenly found myself under attack by my arch nemesis in that zone. As anyone who's hunted young pumas at the desert's edge knows, there's a right nasty beast of an air elemental that hangs around.

That thing started swinging away at me, but thanks to the folks who buffed me I was able to regenerate and realize a dream of mine. I killed it. Killed it dead.

From there I put out a request to purchase some kind of weapon that could hit wisps (and air elementals) and once again the kindness of the folks on this server impressed me! One of the folks who were camped out at the Orcs (and who wishes to remain anonymous) gave me a cold iron morningstar.

I took out a few more wisps and pumas, and found myself at level 7! Just as I was about to log out, heavy under the weight of my LQ and MQ cat skins, someone offered to buy them from me.

The deal was, if I could show up with the 5 skins and also grab them 5 backpacks, they'd pay handsomely. I ran all over Freeport, finally finding some backpacks at an inn, and returned with them to this chap, who did pay me handsomely!

I made two levels, and with just over 120pp to my name, feel very rich for a 7th level druid!

Love this server, and this game.
