I don't think they're having a beta. Rogean has had his test server up doing the testing needed.

I don't see why you need a beta server. The content is fine, only need a few people in the same zone to test some resists, melee range.. melee damage and such.

They definitely need a beta... too many complications, especially with the new dynamic range functionality Rogean was talking about implementing. This isnt some scrubbox server - would be pretty shitty if some serious bugs went undiscovered for the first week of live.

Not to mention last I heard there wasnt even a final decision on the ruleset unless I'm behind on the times.

There will be a beta. Rogean said last night that people will be able to beta transfer their p99 characters for testing. Not sure how that'll work with Kunark gear and level 60s, but maybe that won't transfer. He also asked a few people to help him privately test the dynamic range system, but I dunno if that happened yet.

Lots and lots of people are coming in who haven't even played p99. There'll be plenty of newbie chaos, I'm guessing half the population hasn't got characters to transfer from p99.
