Default Oasis Raft to TD

Everytime I try to take the raft from Oasis, to Timorous Deep, I end up swimming in Oasis. The raft just vanishes out from under me, leaving me in the water still in the Oasis. I have seen others on the same raft, zone into TD.

Any suggestions as to how I can attempt to fix this? Thanks.

I did try searching for similar problems, but the only thread I found related to this was from April, with no replies: http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...ght=oasis+raft

What OS are you using? What EQ client?

Sounds like you do not have the zone file for TD.

Browse to your \Everquest directory and verify that timorous exists.

I'm running Windows Vista 64bit, and Titanium client.

nilbog, I have the following files in my eq directory by the name of 'timorous'

timorous.s3d
timorous.txt
timorous2_chr.s3d
timorous_chr.s3d
timorous_chr.txt
timorous_lit.s3d
timorous_obj.s3d
timorous_sndbnk.eff
timorous_sounds.eff

I don't get an error message. I was once teleported to DL, and I received an error message, and I was kicked to login. I found all dreadland files and copied them from the base install to the copy I use for playing on p99 and when I logged back in, I was in DL.

There is no sign that the game is trying to 'zone' me into TD, the raft simply vanishes and I fall into the water. There are no error messages on screen, no loading attempts. I can attempt to record a video if it'll help.

Sometimes, but I'm not noticing any lag when I try to ride the raft. I check by con'ing myself. Anytime I lag, I can tell my the delay in actions and cons.

I believe I have fixed the issue!

I copied all of the timorous files over, from the base install folder after nilbog's post got me thinking. I realised the problem must be with an oasis file, due to the lack of loading and messages. When I copied over the 9 files from the base directory with 'oasis' in them, I noticed that only 7 were overwritten. The raft works now.

I guess I must have missed them somehow, when I created my 'lite' version for p99.

Thanks everyone for your efforts, I appreciate it!
