ugh! These crashes!

Almost 100% of the time when I go to log in first it will crash as soon as I hit enter game, then I relog back in and it always logs me in.
I'm having issues with crashes though such as . . .

1) If my character sits idle for too long the game will just freeze.
2) Sometimes when I zone the game will crash.
3) Occasionally I'll just be running around and the game will crash.

Usually with each crash I'll get some error.
I have to launch game with the EverQuest Windows Batch File because the EverQuest.exe gives me a pop up saying please run EverQuest.exe even though that is what I am doing.

I run on a pretty high end system, 4090 GFX card etc and it's funny, my 9-10 year old Alienware laptop runs the game perfectly lol but would rather play on my main gaming rig. On my gaming PC "when P99 runs, it runs fine . . . up until the game crashes of course". Prior to this new machine, the game crashed more on my old gaming PC, basically it was unplayable on that machine.

Does the game have a download somewhere where I can download the P99 folder and just drop it on my PC and run from that? How is the best way to run the game with a higher end PC?

Just tired of the crashes and I really want to start playing here.

Don't think that is the actual level requirement to do the quest.

Try running it in a virtual machine? Can scale back a lot of the hardware that way.

sounds like UI issue to me, try to delete you ui_yourname_p1999green.ini and try again

you need dgvoodoo2, freeze happens to nvidia 1000 series to 4000 series

UI issue or compatibility mode issue

3) Occasionally I'll just be running around and the game will crash.
check 1.

Lol he also has a thread open in the caster forum about mage focus item quest level so i guess the reply was meant for that.
