Default EQ Advanced Maps + Zone Viewer

Hello all!

I have been working on what is one of many iterations in EQ supplemental maps. Started as a fun project but turns out I was getting a lot of value out of it while playing so I decided to go semi-public with it.

The advanced map is the rendered 3d zones from EQ with metadata from Goodurden's maps overlaid. The idea was to make viewing zones lightweight and map markers quickly filterable.

I'll let the site itself do the talking: https://eqmap.vercel.app/

Welcome any feedback and suggestions!

Neat, controls feel a little wonky holding right mouse to move, especially forward/back with the mouse wheel (maybe if it was like 3x movement per roll), wish that could be a bit more fluid.

After that it would be nice to type in a loc and go straight to that spot on the map/maybe have a lightly visible grid overlay.

Really cool tool! I agree about the zooming part, feels like that could use a much higher "multiplier"

Also, it's a little difficult to navigate some of the smaller dungeon zones, such as Blackburrow. Would be nice to have key bindings to "walk" through certain zones.

I love what you have so far though, I will definitely be using this often.

Hey guys, thanks for checking this out! Was able to get some cool updates based on feedback across different platforms I've shared this.

1. Now fly mode is possible from the options panel, so WASD and mouse movement through zones.
2. I also scraped a database for static spawns, although they're not in sync with P99 it's a starting point to show spawn groups within zones.

Probably taking a break before the next round of updates but happy to collect more feedback in the meantime and hope people are enjoying using it!

Really cool :-)

Would be great being able to turn some of the text alone on/off when having spawns on.

This is really neat, what a great way for people to poke around and learn the zones if they're nervous or just explore places they don't want to risk going in game. Great job!
