Controlling EQ through Steam Link does not work

Anyone know why Steam Link refuses to work with this game? The moment i click into EQ all controls cease to function.

Waiting for/on the boat is the perfect time to take a shit and I want to make sure I don't miss my stop. Can't play from my phone!
