I'm positive that on live the hammer from the spell cast by the Initiate Symbol of the Tribunal (ie. Hammer of Wrath, Cleric 9) was magic ... because I personally used it as my my main weapon (against wisps) for several levels.
BUT ... I didn't start playing until Velious. Still, it seems strange that they'd be magic in beta, not in classic, then magic again in Velious.
