Default ASSclown clerics like Arthnir need to grow up

Got 2 LD deaths whiile kiting in WK.

Say in OOC in WK upon returning "will pay for cleric assistance with exp deaths"

arthnir tells you "How much?"

you say "I dunno? 100pp? whatever it takes?"

pause 30 seconds... i send a few more tells "whats up? ill pay you whatever man"

Arthnir tells you "Oh something came up"

I gate to ec and he is there assisting someone else with buffs for hella small donations.

/rant on
This is to you Arthnir... you coulda probably got 500-600pp from me for the 2 rezzes in a zone YOU WERE ARLEADY IN... but too bad your such a high and mighty ass clown that has to waste peoples rez timers while you try and guess who is gonna pay you more.

Get off your high horse and stop playing the game like a douchebag and some good karma would pay you off...

So a Cleric was in the same zone as you, and you had money.

Now you're screaming about him leaving the zone without your money on the forums.

I don't see anything douchey enough to warrant singling him out on R&F, I'm gonna end up remembering your name longer than his.

He must not have gotten the memo informing him that as a cleric, it is his job to rez anyone and everyone who dies. When I play my friend's cleric, I routinely rez/buff people for no donation. Likewise, I very often turn down people who send me tells for rez requests because I rarely, if ever, log on his cleric to run around rezzing people all night.

If a cleric is willing to rez you, even for a donation, you should be grateful. However, if a cleric is unwilling to rez you, it is by no means grounds to get angry with them. They don't play this game to rez you. Maybe you should work on getting a better internet connection and dying less instead of ranting people whose only crime was not wasting their time rezzing someone who is clearly kind of a dick.

For the record, I don't know the cleric in question, and he could very well be an "assclown" as the OP suggests. Just saying that based on your post, you sound like dick.

I side with OP.

If he totally declined to rez you, on whatever grounds, then that is his decision.

But to leave the zone, after already having engaged you in conversation regarding the price of the rez, is retarded.

I consider myself to be a pretty selfish individual, but when someone is talking to me in game about help or whatever, I at least finish the conversation with them before I leave to do something else.

I think the Cleric is obligated to tell him "no" before gating, because he engaged him in conversation prior to gating.

But he doesn't go LD ranting on forums. and can't die here!

Really, I'm sure everyone of us died to lag or game freezing or something like that at least once or twice if not more. It's EQ, sucks dieing, you loose exp. if it's too harsh for you, go play wow or something. This is what EQ is about.

I don't think I have ever gotten an exp rez, or any rezes at all outside of groups. By the time you go trough the trouble of getting that exp rez, you would have been better off just grinding the exp back.
if you are one of those that think you "ohh but I can grind the exp back AND get the cleric to come to me and rez me and buff me and then ill have even more exp"... well yeah you probably won't be getting too many rezes.

try helping your self, it usually works better then just hoping people will go out of their way to help you.
I know if I had someone asking for a rez and I would need to cross a zone to go rez him... I would be like "ehh come to me?"

no one owes you anything but your self, don't bitch at others cuz they didn't dedicate their playtime to you.

p.s. gramar nazis go die in a pit of molten lava!

obv

As a cleric I am not obligated to anyone in this game any more than any other player. Period. It's amazing how you think that one little conversation is not such a big deal. And you know what, it really isn't. But now multiply that times 100 a day. It. Gets. Freakin'. Old. Fast.

I had been on all of 30 minutes or so. I had just gated back into EC from rezzing someone in LGuk when this conversation first started. I then went over to EFP to rez someone else who died to the guards. And then I get the third one ... and boy, was he a winner. He chatted with me for awhile while I did the other rez and rattled on about how he got killed in Nek. And then more details come out. Instead of "a" rez he finally confessed that he needed "a couple" of them. It finally dawned on me to do a /who. And that's when I realized what level he was (6). And how many rezzes he really needed (5). A raid call came through and I said I would be unable to help him. And this is his response to me:

So yeah, basically I'm supposed to not attend or to just be late for raids so I can rez multiple corpses of a level six who was to lazy to /camp out properly.

I love helping. I go out of my way to help when I can. So much so that someone gets a little flustrated with me when I make him wait while I do "one more rez" ... <3<3 But I am not required to help you. I have no obligation to help you. I do what I can when I can ... But you're not entitled to my time nor my mana. No more than I'm entitled to yours.

I wasn't aware anyone was under any obligation to rez someone, have a conversation with someone, or continue a conversation with someone the way another person requires.

Because if all of the above are not actual obligations (instead of your personal expectations), your entire post just shows poor social skills (most recently evidenced by an R&F post about your poor social skills).

Easily solvable.. do what I do, and send out tells along the lines of.

"Hello there. Would you be willing to come to OOT and rez a corpse I have for 170p? Thank you."

Sent that message out to 5-6 clerics, and ended up finding one that was coming out to OOT anyway. Worked out well.

In your spot, send the same message, and just change the zone and price. I'm sure you would have found someone willing to do it.
